Google+ for businesses offers many of the same aspects as Google+ for individuals. While originally businesses were encouraged to wait until the company could provide more opportunity for user-friendly options, there are still many means of utilizing the functions within the Google+ for a small business.. If you add someone to a circle accidentally then you must search through the entire circle to find the person individually and remove them. This can quickly become annoying for a small business which has a large amount of people in their particular hangouts.
In terms of the stream, your posts there will be sorted through recent activity. This means that if you have an old post which is very popular, and people continue to comment on it, it will be moved to the top. This can be beneficial if the item is popular, but if you are a company with many events it can be an annoyance. For instance, if you have an event and people continually comment on it prior to the event then that can raise more awareness.
However, if the event is over and you are trying to market a new event, it can become burdensome when people continually comment about how successful or enjoyable or poor the last event was because the newest comments will take precedence in your stream. There are no filters in this instance or means of sorting the comments chronologically. This can also pose problems when you want to sort your posts by +1s.
Another issue within the stream function is that once you open your list of comments, which were previously collapsed, you are unable to simply hide it like you can on Facebook. Instead, with Google+ you must click on the hangouts which are assigned to the particular stream and then the posted comments will fold up.
When you use the photos section on your Google+ account, you are unable to move and/or copy a picture from one gallery to another. Instead, you will need to individually upload the photos again to new galleries. If you are using the mobile versions of Google+ then you are unable to view the stream which is assigned to a single circle. Instead, you are only able to see the stream for the hangouts all at once in the same area.
There are some great breakthroughs which will soon be available through Google+ in the future. The first of these is a shared music stream. This means that when you create your hangouts you are able to share a YouTube music stream. This will allow you to create a playlist for your Google+ account. It goes a bit further than that. You can also have friends within your hangouts edit and improve your playlist, so that you can work while also enjoying a new Google+ music stream.
You will soon be able to use Google+ for your company with Quora-style questioning. This means that the author is able to post a question and then find the most appropriate answers which can then be embedded into the articles or the blogs in other areas which might be relevant to the originally posted question.
Another new feature of Google+ for the small businesses is the ability to implement a style of sharing much like re-blogging. This means that the same post will not show up repeatedly, but you will be able to show a post a single time and then give attribution to the author of the post as well as the people within your network.
